What does the activity include? you will receive a full pre-flight briefing from your instructor who will also kit you out in the traditional leather flying jacket helmet and headset (leather jackets are subject to availability). Once in the air your instructor will demonstrate how to fly the aircraft and if you wish give you an opportunity to take the controls for a real hands-on flying experience. As you look out of the open cockpit the countryside passes below you. You really could have stepped back in time to the 1930’s. Where does the experience take place? goodwood in west sussex or cheltenham in gloucestershire. What should i wear? you should wear warm comfortable clothing and soft soled shoes. It is advisable for ladies to wear trousers rather than skirts. In winter additional layers are advisable as these aircraft are not heated. How long should i allow for this experience? the flight itself lasts for 20 minutes (taxi to landing) but you should allow approximately one hour for the whole experience when does the activity take place? selected weekend and weekday dates from april to october. We recommend you book at least six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability. Are there any restrictions? maximum height 6 foot 4 ins maximum weight 18 stone unfortunately we are unable to fly you if you are pregnant or suffer from epilepsy. There are no other specific medical requirements but the flight is exciting and exhilarating. If in doubt please ask your doctors opinion. What about the weather? as with most forms of air sports they can be affected by weather conditions. If however your experience cannot take place due to the adverse weather an alternative date will be offered to you. Can i bring spectators? spectators are welcome what else do i need to know? please arrive at the airfield 30 minutes before your experience is about to start. Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue. Personal accident & cancellation insurance are included. Kindly note that each centre has their own cancellation policy and fees. Some centres may not allow a booking to be cancelled or changed once it has been made. Please call us for further details. |
