What does the activity include? your instructors are raf trained in fast jet flying and after a thorough flight and safety briefing you will be introduced to the piston engined propeller-driven aircraft and shown exactly what tricks you can pull off . You will be able to show off to all below your amazing newfound skills in this plane which boasts a 400 degrees per second roll rate! where does the experience take place? this experience is held at kemble airfield near cirencester in gloucestershire what should i wear? it is essential that you wear light flat shoes with good grips - trainers are ideal. Comfortable casual clothes are recommended it is also advisable to take a light jacket as it can be exposed on the airfield. Loose objects (including cameras) are not allowed in the aircraft cockpit. Valuables can either be safe kept in our crew room or left in your car. How long should i allow for this experience? you can be expect to be at the airfieldfor approximately 2-3 hours. When does the activity take place? flights operate from the end of march to the beginning of november monday to saturday subject to availability. This is structured as a flying lesson and you will be taught to fly the aircraft yourself. We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability. Are there any restrictions? participants are required to sign a disclaimer before taking part minimum age:12 - 55 (over 55s require a letter from their gp) minimum height 5’ / maximum height : 6’4" maximum weight: 15.5 Stone what about the weather? this is a weather dependent activity and it is crucial that you call the centre for a weather check before setting out. If your flight is cancelled due to weather then an alternative date will be offered to you. Can i bring spectators? 2 spectators per participant are welcome and may be allowed to listen to the brief if there is enough space. Please be aware that spectators are not covered by insurance to go airside. Spectating is not recommended for young children as facilities are limited. What else do i need to know? the aerodrome has café facilities. Nearest train station is kemble. Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue. Personal accident & cancellation insurance are included. Kindly note that each centre has their own cancellation policy and fees. Some centres may not allow a booking to be cancelled or changed once it has been made. Please call us for further details. |
