What does the activity include? following a safety briefing you will receive a guided tour of the site where you'll discuss the conservation needs of cat species world wide with one of our highly trained team. You will have the chance to get close to some of the most effective killers on the planet whilst they remain safely in their enclosures and will also have an opportunity to hand feed at least one of the big cats. Make sure you bring your camera as there will be an opportunity to take some mementos photographs of your experience. Where does the experience take place? ashford in kent. What should i wear? please wear outdoor clothing suitable for the time of year. Good footwear is recommended or wellington boots in the case of wet weather. There is a slight risk of getting dirty during your visit so we recommend that you take a change of clothing. The centre will supply you with disposable gloves. How long should i allow for this experience? please allow approximately two and a half hours for the whole experience including your safety briefing and tour. When does the activity take place? the experience takes place on thursday and friday from march to october and on friday only from november to february. We recommend that you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the voucher expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability. Are there any restrictions? the total distance of the site is approximately 800 metres and as there is a lot of walking involved you must be able bodied and reasonably fit. If you are unsure then please check with you doctor before booking. Ladies in early stages of pregnancy are asked to consult their doctor or midwife before booking. Minimum age 16 years (kindly note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). What about the weather? the experience is not weather dependent however in the eventof rain participants will need to provide their own protective clothing. Can i bring spectators? spectatorsover the age of 18 years are welcome at a charge of £15 per person this will allow you to accompany the voucher holder and take photographs (kindly note that feeding the cats is not included for spectators). A maximum of 6 spectators per voucher holder are permitted. What else do i need to know? disabled participants are welcome; however there are currently no specific disabled toilet facilities on site access to our standard toilets is up two steps. The rest of the site is accessible to all except in very wet weather when the grass surface may not be suitable for wheelchair users.
