What does the activity include? following a safety briefing you will be given a guided tour of the site to meet all the cats these include african lions 3 tiger species amur leopards cheetahs and snow leopards. During this experience you will share a typical working day with one of the professional keepers and will have an opportunity to help clean and tend the cats and their enclosures and assist with feeding the cats (kindly note that the feeding takes place on selected days only). Where does the experience take place? ashford in kent. What should i wear? please wear outdoor clothing suitable for the time of year. Good footwear is recommended or wellington boots in the case of wet weather. There is a slight risk of getting dirty during your visit so we recommend that you take a change of clothing. The centre will supply you with disposable gloves. How long should i allow for this experience? please allow approximatelyfive hoursfor the whole experience including your safety briefing and tour. When does the activity take place? the experience takes place on thursday and friday from march to october and on friday only fromnovember to february. We recommend that you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expirey date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the voucher expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability. Are there any restrictions? there may be some bending and lifting involved please advise the staff on the day of the experience if you are unable to take part in these activities. Ladies in early stages of pregnancy are asked to consult their doctor or midwife before booking. The total distance of the site is approximately 800 metres and as there is a lot of walking involved you must be able bodied and reasonably fit. If you are unsure then please check with you doctor before booking. Minimum age 16 years (kindly note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). What about the weather? the experience is not weather dependent however in the eventof rain participants will need to provide their own protective clothing. Can i bring spectators? spectators over the age of 18 years are welcome at a charge of £15 per person this will allow you to accompany the voucher holder have lunch and take photographs. A maximum of 1 spectator per voucher holder are permitted please advise us at the time of booking if you wish to take a spectator. What else do i need to know? disabled participants are welcome; however there are currently no specific disabled toilet facilities on site access to our standard toilets is up two steps. The rest of the site is accessible to all except in very wet weather when the grass surface may not be suitable for wheelchair users.
